Refund Policy

I strive to be fair and transparent with families regarding enrollment and refunds.

Before a Class Begins

Families may receive a full refund if they withdraw from a class two weeks or more from the scheduled start of class. A partial refund (full price minus the cost of 1 week of class) is available within that two-week window.

After a Class Has Begun

If a family withdraws after a class has started, refunds will be prorated based on the remaining time in the course. Once a portion of the course has been completed, that portion is considered delivered and is not refundable.

Missed Classes / Late Arrival / Student Technical Issues

Refunds are not issued for classes missed by a student, regardless of the reason for the absence.

Refunds are not issued for classes partially missed due to a student late to class, regardless of the reason for the tardiness.

Refunds are not issued for classes missed due to student technical issues. If the instructor experiences technical issues that cause a class to be missed or cut short, the instructor will determine the best way to provide the missed content. This may include a recorded lesson, an alternative assignment, or a rescheduled live session. In those cases, refunds will not be issued.

Instructor Cancellations

If a class session must be canceled due to instructor illness or a family emergency, I will determine the best way to provide the missed content. This may include a recorded lesson, an alternative assignment, or a rescheduled live session. In these cases, refunds will not be issued.

If I am unable to provide the missed content in any form, a refund will be issued based on the number of class sessions missed.

Requesting a Refund

To request a refund, families should email darbykennedyteaches@gmail.com and include:

  • Student name

  • Name of the class

  • Day and time the class meets

  • Reason for the refund request

A response can be expected within 48 hours.
